Your first Palworld server

Your settings, joining, becoming admin and changing game rules.

1. How do I set the server name and passwords?

In the Startup tab: Server Name, Server Password (leave it empty for no password), Admin Password and Max Players. Crossplay Platforms sets which platforms can join. Restart after changing them.

2. How do my friends and I join?

In Palworld, choose Join Multiplayer Game. At the bottom of the server list, type your full address with the number after the colon in the address box and choose Connect. Enter the server password if you set one.

3. How do I become admin?

In game, open chat and type /AdminPassword followed by the Admin Password from the Startup tab. You can then use admin commands such as /KickPlayer.

You can also type commands in the panel Console without a slash, for example ShowPlayers to list who is online or Save to save the world.

4. How do I change experience rates and other game rules?

Stop the server, then in the Files tab open Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini (it is filled in after the first start). Change the values you want, such as ExpRate or DeathPenalty, choose Save Content and start the server.

Your edits are kept, except for the settings that are in the Startup tab: the server name, passwords and player count are written into this file at every start, so change those in Startup.
