Try a free public Minecraft server, Java or Bedrock

We opened two public test servers so you can try EmpireServers before you buy: one in US East (Virginia) and one in US West (Oregon). Each holds 20 players, runs survival with grief protection, and is free to join. Pick the location closer to you.

Java Edition: open Multiplayer, choose Add Server, and enter play-east.empireservers.com:25567 for US East or play-west.empireservers.com:25567 for US West.

Bedrock Edition on phones, tablets and Windows: open Play, go to Servers, choose Add Server, and enter play-east.empireservers.com or play-west.empireservers.com with port 19132. The first time you join, Minecraft asks whether to trust the server; allow it.

Protect your builds by claiming land with a golden shovel: right-click two opposite corners. PvP is off. The servers restart every day at 5 AM Eastern, and because they are test servers, a world may be reset.
